Advanced Data Modeling –
Modeling and Analyzing Complex Business Rules, Patterns & Abstractions
An Intensive 2-Day Instructor Led Training Program
This program is designed for business & systems analysts, data modelers, architects & DBAs, application developers & designers, application, BI & ETL developers, technical designers & architects and anyone interested in acquiring and applying key business and systems analysis skills.
Program Description
The focus of this intensive 2-day instructor led program is on providing participants with the deep knowledge, critical thinking skills and experienced judgment to identify and thoroughly analyze complex business concepts and data structures, to understand and create logical data models at the appropriate level of abstraction and to identify and analyze the impact of data modeling design choices.
This program includes advanced data patterns such as rules-based entity types, meta-entity types, conditional recursion, multi-recursive networks, state-transitions and sub-type variants. This program also includes advanced topics in data abstraction, data model analysis, normalization and data fragmentation and allocation.
This program is designed for business and systems analysis professionals that are analyzing complex data oriented business rules and developing and managing highly sophisticated business and functional requirements
Prerequisites: Inteq’s Business Data Modeling training program or equivalent senior level business systems analysis experience.
You will learn:
• Data patterns that enable you to quickly recognize and accurately analyze complex data oriented business rules and validate complex requirements.
Generalization and abstraction techniques that enable flexible data structures that adapt to rapidly changing business processes and business requirements.
• To review and validate data models with a comprehensive and effective data model quality assurance approach.
Best practice approaches to standardizing modeling components, meta-data and naming conventions
To identify and analyze the impact of normalization anomalies.
• To analyze the impact of data model abstraction on physical database design and systems development approaches.
Our intensive 2-day instructor led classroom format and integrated curriculum is the most effective, practical and convenient approach to acquire and integrate the skills and knowledge into your work environment.
Program Format
This program comprises best practices, supporting techniques and practical knowledge gleaned from the experience of numerous real-world projects.
It includes practical application of model driven analysis techniques followed by carefully crafted exercises and case studies designed to reinforce the techniques and enhance participant skills.
