No. No previous business process reengineering, automation, AI, technical, or programming experience is required.

The course introduces the Inteq BPR/Framework and method systematically and shows participants how to move from qualified improvement opportunities to implementable future-state solutions.

Experienced practitioners also benefit by modernizing established reengineering methods with decision-flow redesign, decision-latency reduction, staged autonomy, agent-enabled process design, and a broader solution spectrum.

It is the recommended precursor, but it is not a formal prerequisite.

Business Process Modeling & Analysis establishes the current-state process model and vetted, solution-independent opportunity backlog that professional reengineering consumes.

Participants who have not completed that course can still take Business Process Reengineering. The BPR case study provides the current-state model, a brief current-state recap, and the opportunity backlog needed to complete the course exercises.

No. The course spans incremental process improvement, business process redesign, and transformational business process reengineering.

Participants learn to evaluate solutions across a continuum that may include:

• Changes in process routing, roles, and responsibilities
• Changes in business rules, policies, and decision rights
• Workflow and operating-model redesign
• Business process automation and RPA
• Agentic workflows
• AI agents and agent-enabled decision points

The appropriate solution is selected based on the opportunity, business strategy, priorities, value, cost, risk, budget, and available talent.

Decision latency is the elapsed time work spends waiting for judgment, approval, escalation, or another decision.

Traditional process improvement often concentrates on how quickly tasks are performed while treating the time between activities as general queue or waiting time. Modern BPR identifies the specific decisions, approval chains, handoffs, information gaps, and decision rights causing that delay.

Participants learn to transition appropriate processes from task-flow workflows organized primarily around activities to decision-flow workflows organized around decisions, decision clusters, and the movement of work around those decisions.

The course treats BPA, RPA, agentic workflows, and AI agents as tactics on one solution spectrum.

Participants learn a practical selection principle: where stable rules exist, automate them; where judgment exists, consider whether agents can orchestrate decisions among and between tasks while preserving appropriate human oversight.

Human-in-the-loop, human-on-the-loop, and human-out-of-the-loop are addressed as deliberate process-design choices supported by clear decision rights, policies, controls, escalation paths, and guardrails.

The course also introduces staged-autonomy migration from assistive to supervised and, where appropriate, autonomous operation with exception handling.
